I work in a hospital and the associated cancer center.
I work in a hospital and the associated cancer center. Though acupuncture is accepted by the hospital it is not accepted by the key oncologists, It has been and still is a difficult situation to gain the confidence and the endorsement of the western doctors. My treatments are limited to acupressure and acupuncture circles- (no moxa and no herbal formulas are
permitted)- which are very beneficial to the patients. I have tried to present the research to the doctor but she discards it with remarks that the study is not substantial enough to be creditable or the results are minimal. It is wonderful that acupuncture is recognized and encouraged in other parts of the world. I will keep pursuing my efforts with these doctors and hopefully at some point they will heed the needs of the patient.
