A 30 years old patient with polycystic ovaries and irregular menstruation has come for Chinese Medicine treatment before starting hormone therapy for infertility. Hormonal profile – slightly high levels of LH and evidence of subclinical hypothyroidism. She is overweight, feeling tired and experiences swollenness after meals. Her cycle fluctuates between 30 – 45 days. She feels lower back pain during menstruation. Has asthma in the background.
Tongue diagnosis: swollen with thin white coat, small depressions in the Lower and the Upper Jiao.
Pulse diagnosis: Slippery, weak in positions of Kidney and Lung.
