Yin Yang and Unity Consciousness in Chinese Medicine
What you will learn
- Grasp the system of Yin-Yang differentiation as a manifestation of holistic life force therapy.

- Gain a complete understanding of the Chinese medicine concept of “the centre”.
Course Overview
This course explores two essential foundational concepts in Chinese medicine and their relationship: Shen-ming (Light of Spirit) and Yin-Yang.
While all diagnostic methods in Chinese medicine ultimately aim to achieve some form of Yin/Yang differentiation, the deepest level of holistic treatment seeks to connect with the undifferentiated life force that underlies all physical forms.
By delving into relevant passages from the Huangdi Neijing (Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Medicine) and other relevant pre-medical texts, this course illustrates how unity consciousness, which leads to unity diagnosis and therapy, forms the philosophical, cosmological, and clinical basis of Chinese medicine.
Furthermore, we shed light on several archetypal organ systems in Chinese medicine, considering their respective roles in either Yin-Yang differentiation (which leads to separateness) or central unification.
